At Fishing Sales Shop, we take as much care in ensuring your satisfaction as we do in crafting our premium fly fishing gear. While we’re confident in the quality of our rods, reels, flies, and tying materials, we understand that sometimes items need to be returned or exchanged.
Angler-Friendly Returns
We’ve designed our returns process to be as smooth as casting on a calm lake. You have 15 days from the delivery date to initiate a return for most items.
Return & Exchange Process
Step 1: Initiate Your Return
Send us a return request within 15 days of receiving your order. Include the following information in your email to [email protected] or use the template below:
Step 2: Receive Return Authorization
Our Angler Support Team will respond within 2 business days with:
- Return authorization number
- Shipping instructions
- Return address (4134 Passaic Street, Ridgewood, US 07450)
Step 3: Package and Ship Your Return
Please ensure:
- Items are in original condition with all packaging
- Include a copy of your order confirmation or packing slip
- Write the return authorization number on the outside of the package
Note: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
Step 4: Processing Your Return
Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 5 business days of arrival):
- For exchanges: We’ll ship your replacement item using your preferred shipping method
- For refunds: We’ll process your refund to the original payment method
Refund Timeline & Methods
Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we receive and approve your return. The timing depends on your payment method:
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 5-10 business days to appear on your statement
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
Non-Returnable Items
To protect all anglers in our community, certain items cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons:
- Custom-tied flies from our Bass Flies and Carp Flies collections
- Opened containers of Cements, Glue, or Epoxy
- Used Body Materials or Chenilles
- Personalized items (engraved reels, custom fly boxes)
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive damaged goods or incorrect items (like getting bass flies when you ordered carp patterns), contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the issue. We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund and cover return shipping costs.
